My clinical education has provided broad exposure across inpatient, outpatient, procedural, and oncologic care. Through core clerkships, sub-internships, and specialty electives, I have developed a strong foundation in patient care while pursuing a particular interest in oncology and radiation medicine.

Radiation Oncology

University of Arizona – Tucson, AZ

Worked alongside the University of Arizona residents and attending faculty to continue building my knowledge of treatment planning, consulting, and contouring. First exposure to HDR brachytherapy for treatment of NMSC. Presented on lymphatic-sparing radiotherapy for head and neck cancers in the era of immunotherapy.

Radiation Oncology

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers – Phoenix, AZ

My initial exposure to Radiation Oncology. I worked under the direction of Dr. Aaron Ambrad. Worked on understanding indications for radiation therapy, appropriate patient selection, and basics on the different types of radiation you can use to treat. This rotation sparked my interest in the field and lead to seeking further Radiation Oncology experiences.

Interventional Radiology

HonorHealth - Phoenix, AZ

Worked under the direction of Dr. Henderson Jones. Reviewed over 400 of his biopsies and final pathology for quality improvement and to better understand the key imaging features of cancerous lesions.

Surgery

HonorHealth - Phoenix, AZ

Worked with the surgery residency team at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Hospital. While on rotation, I excelled at learning surgical indications, suturing techniques, and recognizing/treating surgical complications.

Family Medicine

Midwestern University Clinic - Glendale, AZ

At my home university clinic, I had the opportunity to work closely with our teaching faculty and utilize my osteopathic training. I learned OMT indications and proper management of chronic pain conditions.
