I am a fourth-year medical student at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) with a growing career focus in radiation oncology. I am drawn to oncology due to the opportunity to combine meaningful, longitudinal relationships with patients with the science, technology, and multidisciplinary collaboration that shape modern cancer care.
My interests within radiation oncology include treatment optimization, clinical outcomes, and the interaction between radiation therapy and the immune system. Through clinical rotations and research, I have particularly enjoyed the problem-solving involved in translating anatomy, imaging, tumor biology, and clinical evidence into an individualized treatment strategy for each patient.
Teaching has also been an important part of my medical education. I have served as an anatomical sciences teaching assistant and tutor for medical and other health-professions students, with experience teaching anatomy, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, and clinical medicine. Teaching has become one of the most rewarding parts of my training, and medical education and mentorship will remain significant parts of my career.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy golfing, playing basketball, cooking, and performing music. Much of my free time is spent with my family and our collection of animals. I value maintaining interests and relationships outside the hospital and hope to carry that perspective with me throughout my career.
I created this site as a place to share my research, teaching, academic work, and professional experiences as I continue my training in medicine.
